OVERVIEW:

The coronavirus outbreak is something uncommon in our life experience. Many unknowns still surround it. We must remain vigilant to new findings while continuously seeking to sift facts from opinions. As concerns over the COVID-19 virus continue to rise, our intent is to inform and not alarm. With that in mind, we want to share information about how we’re handling this situation and its influence on life and business operations around the Karono’s office and warehouse.

Things continue to rapidly change with the response to the virus outbreak and the attempts to control the spread of it. We are continuously following the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) developments regarding the spread and impact of the virus. Our leadership team is working within the World Health Organization (WHO) and CDC’s recommended guidelines, as well as following the guidelines and requirements of our local health department. We have one simple objective that guides us: keeping our employees safe and continuing to serve your needs. This has been at the center of our conversations every step of the way. With that in mind, we have made several moves in our business in response to the threat of the coronavirus. We understand you have important needs right now to sustain business operations and continuity as you adjust to maintaining new systems and handling a remote workforce.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

Read the President’s Coronavirus guidelines for America – 15 Days to Slow the Spread of COVID-19

If you or a family member have symptoms of acute respiratory illness (notably fevers and/or shortness of breath), STAY HOME and do not go to work or out in public until everyone in your household is free of fever (100.4° F [37.8° C] or greater using a thermometer), signs of a fever, and any other symptoms for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing or other symptom-altering medicines (e.g. cough suppressants).

Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Please cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing (or an elbow or shoulder if no tissue is available). https://www.cdc.gov/healthywater/hygiene/etiquette/coughing_sneezing.html
